Add-on lenses
Better vision with the second lens
The add-on lenses are extremely thin and are placed as additional lenses in front of pre-implanted artificial lenses.
There are two options for this minimally invasive procedure.
For patients with cataracts who have already had a cataract operation, the refractive deficits such as remaining short-sightedness can be compensated for. The add-on lens is placed in the posterior chamber of the eye in addition to the already placed lens. The operation is possible at any time and offers patients the chance of a life without glasses, even at a later date.
Patients who have a cataract operation planned or who want a refractive lens exchange can also benefit from add-on lenses. With multifocal add-on lenses, vision of objects close-up can also be corrected. The lens can be simply removed at any time.
